GREIBOSOL WFS
GREIBOSOL WFS is an anionic lanolin-based fatliquor formulated from a combination of lanolin and natural fatty raw materials, specifically developed to reduce water absorption and provide moisture-regulating properties in chrome-tanned, combination-tanned, and vegetable-tanned leathers.
The lanolin base of GREIBOSOL WFS replicates the natural oils of animal skin, delivering a characteristic moisturising and conditioning effect on the collagen fibre structure. By acting as a natural humectant, GREIBOSOL WFS regulates the moisture content of the leather in response to changing environmental conditions, ensuring a consistently balanced humidity level within the leather structure regardless of the surrounding climate. This moisture-regulating effect prevents the leather from drying out, becoming brittle, or cracking under conditions of extreme heat and low humidity.
GREIBOSOL WFS is the ideal product for hot and dry climate regions, where conventional fatliquors without moisture-regulating properties may be insufficient to maintain the required leather suppleness and physical integrity over time. Its water-repellent effect reduces the water absorption of the finished leather, providing a degree of protection against moisture ingress without compromising the natural breathability of the leather.
GREIBOSOL WFS is stable in chrome tanning floats and is diluted with water at 60°C whilst stirring, forming a coarse dispersion prior to application.
Please note: GREIBOSOL WFS has adequate light fastness and moderate heat resistance and is therefore not recommended for white or pastel shade leathers.

For vegetable-tanned leathers, GREIBOSOL WFS provides the moisture-regulating protection that is particularly critical for this leather type, which is more susceptible to drying out and cracking in low-humidity environments than chrome-tanned leather. Its lanolin base nourishes and conditions the vegetable-tanned fibre structure, maintaining suppleness and physical integrity even under prolonged exposure to heat and dry air.
In the production of splits for shoes and upper leathers, GREIBOSOL WFS delivers reliable water absorption reduction and moisture regulation, supporting consistent physical performance and surface quality throughout the service life of the finished shoe, particularly in markets with hot and dry climatic conditions where the leather must maintain its flexibility and surface integrity under demanding environmental exposure.

GREIBOSOL WFS has a shelf life of up to one year. Below temperatures of 10°C the product thickens. Store in sealed original containers, protected from extreme temperatures.
