GREIBOSOL GBA-X is a high-performance fatliquor based predominantly on plant-derived raw materials, specifically developed for clothing leather, nappa leather, and very soft furniture leather. Its largely plant-based formulation makes GREIBOSOL GBA-X a particularly responsible choice for tanneries with sustainability commitments, while delivering outstanding leather quality that meets the highest demands of premium soft leather production.
In contrast to GREIBOSOL LTH, which delivers deep fibre penetration and a firm, defined grip, and GREIBOSOL SBH, which works primarily in the surface layer with a pronounced filling effect, GREIBOSOL GBA-X is formulated to produce exceptionally lightweight leather with outstanding overall softness. This makes it the preferred choice wherever minimum leather weight combined with maximum softness and a warm, silky feel are the primary quality requirements.
GREIBOSOL GBA-X delivers outstanding and even softness throughout the full cross-section of the leather combined with excellent filling, resulting in a light, full-bodied leather with a pleasant, warm, silky feel. Leathers treated with GREIBOSOL GBA-X also exhibit excellent buffability, making the product equally suitable for suede, nubuck, and buffed leather articles.
The product should be diluted with water at 50°C before addition to the drum.

In the production of clothing leather and garment nappa, GREIBOSOL GBA-X delivers the exceptionally light weight and all-round softness that are characteristic of the finest garment leathers, where the combination of low leather weight, natural drape, and a warm silky surface feel are as important as visual surface quality.
For nappa leather production, GREIBOSOL GBA-X provides the uniform, through-going softness and excellent filling that give the finished leather a full yet lightweight character, making it particularly well suited for premium nappa articles in fashion, accessories, and gloves where lightness and softness are the primary tactile expectations.
In the production of very soft furniture leather, GREIBOSOL GBA-X supports consistent, deep inner softness and a pleasant warm handle across large hide surfaces, meeting the requirements of high-end upholstery applications where a genuinely soft, lightweight leather character is essential.
For suede, nubuck, and buffed leather articles, GREIBOSOL GBA-X provides the even fibre lubrication and consistent filling that are the prerequisites for reliable, uniform buffing results and a consistent, fine nap across the full hide surface.
Legal Information
GREIBOSOL GBA-X has a shelf life of approximately one year. The optimum storage temperature is between 15°C and 25°C. The product is not sensitive to frost, however below 5°C it may concentrate and thicken. It can be fully restored by warming to room temperature and stirring thoroughly before use.
