Fish Oil Based Fatliquor

GREIBOSOL CFK

GREIBOSOL CFK is a semi-synthetic anionic fatliquor based on a combination of natural and synthetic fatty substances, sulphited for optimised performance, and developed for applications with the highest demands on light fastness, process stability, and fatliquor compatibility. The carefully balanced combination of natural and synthetic components delivers a superior fastness profile while retaining the excellent softness, deep penetration, and fibre lubrication properties that characterise premium quality fatliquors of this type.

GREIBOSOL CFK forms fine-particle, stable emulsions when diluted with warm or cold water, and its exceptional resistance to water hardness, acids, and bases ensures reliable performance across all stages of the wet-end process, including the highly acidic and salt-rich conditions of chrome tanning.

Its excellent light fastness makes GREIBOSOL CFK specifically suitable for white and pastel shade leathers, where yellowing or colour shift would be immediately visible and commercially unacceptable. GREIBOSOL CFK significantly reduces the risk of fatty spew and can eliminate it entirely, as the sulphited components are firmly fixed within the fibre structure and do not migrate to the leather surface over time.

GREIBOSOL CFK is compatible with all anionic retanning agents and can additionally be combined with cationic fatliquors, offering maximum flexibility in multi-charge fatliquoring systems for all leather types and process requirements.

Application Examples

GREIBOSOL CFK is the preferred semi-synthetic fatliquor wherever light fastness, process stability, and freedom from fatty spew are the primary requirements across a wide range of leather types and applications.

For white and pastel shade leathers in footwear, upholstery, and leather goods production, GREIBOSOL CFK provides reliable fibre lubrication with excellent natural softness, without any risk of yellowing or colour contamination that would compromise the clean, bright base shade required for these demanding colour articles.

In chrome tanning and retanning operations, GREIBOSOL CFK can be applied directly to the chrome tanning bath, where its outstanding acid and electrolyte stability ensures that the emulsion remains stable under the process conditions, supporting even fat distribution and uniform chrome uptake across the full hide.

As a component of multi-charge fatliquoring systems, GREIBOSOL CFK can be combined with both anionic retanning agents and cationic fatliquors, where it contributes its light fastness and anti-spew properties to the overall recipe while supporting the deep penetration and uptake of the other fatliquoring components.
