Water-dilutable metalworking fluid
GREIBOCUT 160
GREIBOCUT 160 is a boron and formaldehyde free high performance metalworking fluid. It has particularly been developed for demanding thread forming operations on stainless steel. Thanks to the technical advanced formulation, GREIBOCUT 160 is also suited for the toughest grinding operations on steel, cast iron, aluminium and titanium.
The metalworking fluid GREIBOCUT 160 has been formulated with a mineral oil content of approx. 45 % along with highly efficient lubricity esters. The raw material choice used to make GREIBOCUT 160 helps provide excellent surface finish and outstanding tool life. Although free from formaldehyde, the emulsions are long-term pH-stable. The concentrate does not contain nitrite or critical secondary amines and therefore corresponds to the German TRGS 611 regulations, Special inhibitors provide effective protection against nitrosamine formation.
GREIBOCUT 160 emulsions are recommended to be made-up using proprietary coolant mixing equipment. Alternatively, slowly add the concentrate to the water in a fast moving area of the system. The make-up water should be 90 to 360 ppm Ca 43 (5 — 20 'dhl) total hardness and at room temperature. The emulsion's working temperature should not exceed 40 'C.
For cleaning of the machined components we recommend a mild alkaline cleaner from our metalworking fluid range. The concentrate should be stored at temperatures between 5 to 35 °C and protected from frost. Always observe the use by date on the container.
Key Benefits:
- excellent lubricity and high performance on severe thread forming applications
- free from boron and formaldehyde
- very good filter ability
- stable emulsion
- enhanced corrosion protection
