GREIBOSOL TR
GREIBOSOL TR is a specialised synthetic anionic fatliquor based on phosphoric acid ester derivatives, sulphonated for optimised performance, and completely free from AOX. It is specifically developed as a high-performance fatliquoring agent for leathers of the highest quality requirements, where a significant improvement in tensile and tear resistance alongside good light fastness and excellent heat resistance are the defining performance criteria.
The phosphoric acid ester chemistry of GREIBOSOL TR is the key to its unique performance profile. The phosphate groups of the ester derivatives form strong bonds with the amino groups of the collagen fibres, permanently reinforcing the fibre structure throughout the full leather cross-section. This mechanism delivers a considerable and measurable improvement in both tensile and tear resistance across all leather types, with particularly pronounced results on thin leathers where physical strength is most critical and conventional fatliquors alone may not achieve the required mechanical performance.
GREIBOSOL TR gives inner softness through its low content of solvent-extractable components, ensuring that the fatliquoring components remain durably anchored within the fibre structure and do not migrate over time, contributing to lasting softness and stable physical properties throughout the service life of the finished leather.
Good light fastness and excellent heat resistance make GREIBOSOL TR fully suitable for white and pastel shade leathers, while its positive effect on the levelness of dyeing ensures uniform and consistent colour results across the full hide. GREIBOSOL TR is electrolyte-resistant in mineral tanning floats and can be used in tanning, neutralisation, or main fatliquoring, offering maximum process flexibility. It can be added undiluted to the bath, or diluted with water between 20°C and 60°C to form a fine dispersed emulsion.
