GREIBOSOL VPS

GREIBOSOL VPS is a high-efficiency synthetic combining fatliquor based on high molecular saturated hydrocarbons, sulphonated for optimised performance, and supplied as a yellowish pourable paste. As the lower-concentration counterpart to GREIBOSOL SPA, GREIBOSOL VPS is available at an active substance content of approximately 50%, offering greater ease of handling and more direct dosing flexibility for tanneries that prefer a lower-concentration formulation without any compromise in performance quality.

GREIBOSOL VPS delivers the same excellent light fastness, excellent heat resistance, and individually adjustable softness and surface effects as GREIBOSOL SPA, making it equally well suited for white and pastel shade leathers, garment leathers, and shoe upper leathers where high fastness performance and precise fatliquor recipe control are essential requirements.

Individual softness and surface effects can be achieved by adjusting the single components of the fatliquor mixture, and very finely dispersed solutions can be obtained by melting the product prior to emulsification before stirring water at 60°C into the product.

GREIBOSOL SPA is available at an active substance content of approximately 64%, while GREIBOSOL VPS is available at approximately 50%, offering greater ease of handling and more direct dosing for different production preferences. Both variants are interchangeable; the choice between them is determined solely by the preferred concentration level and dosing practice of the individual tannery.

In the production of garment leathers and shoe upper leathers, GREIBOSOL VPS provides the combining fatliquor base for precisely tailored multi-component fatliquor systems, where individual softness levels and surface effects can be fine-tuned through component adjustment to meet the specific requirements of the article and end use.

For maximum emulsion fineness and distribution uniformity, GREIBOSOL VPS should be melted prior to emulsification before stirring water at 60°C into the product.
