GREIBOSOL LEU
GREIBOSOL LEU is a high-performance synthetic fatliquor based on highly molecular saturated hydrocarbons, sulphonated for optimised performance, specifically developed as a standalone fatliquor for soft leathers. With an active substance concentration of approximately 70%, it delivers an exceptional combination of lightweight feel, fluffy fibre structure, and a full, round handle that is difficult to achieve with conventional fatliquoring agents.
The high molecular weight of the saturated hydrocarbon base gives GREIBOSOL LEU its characteristic ability to open and separate the collagen fibre structure evenly without adding weight to the leather, resulting in the distinctive light, airy body that defines premium quality soft leather articles. This makes GREIBOSOL LEU particularly valuable wherever a maximum softness with minimum leather weight is the primary quality objective.
On suede leathers, GREIBOSOL LEU produces a silky surface touch combined with a high, attractive gloss, significantly enhancing the visual and tactile quality of the finished article. The smooth, non-polar surfaces of the hydrocarbon molecules create a uniform, light-reflecting finish on the velour nap that distinguishes premium suede articles in footwear, accessories, and fashion applications.
GREIBOSOL LEU improves the uniformity of dyeing across the full hide and is fully compatible with other anionic fatliquoring agents. The surface effect can be varied and further refined by the addition of GREIBOSOL STE. GREIBOSOL LEU can be added undiluted to the float, or diluted with water at 60°C in a ratio of 1:4 to form a milky, finely dispersed emulsion.
